What Information We Collect
When you register to bid, contact us, or sign up for auction updates, we may collect:
- Your name, address, and phone number
- Your email address (for newsletter subscribers)
- Tax exemption information, if provided
- Payment information processed securely through Clover
We do not collect sensitive financial information directly. Card payments are processed through Clover, a PCI-compliant payment processor.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Register you as a bidder at our auctions
- Process payments and issue receipts
- Send auction announcements and updates (if you opted in)
- Contact you about pickup, payment, or items you purchased
- Comply with legal requirements, including firearm transfer records
We Do Not Sell Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your information is used solely to operate our auctions and communicate with you about your purchases.

If you sign up for auction updates, we will send you information about upcoming sales. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us directly.

Auction Terms & Conditions
Effective for all Boots N Lace Auctioneering sales
By registering to bid or participating in any Boots N Lace Auctioneering sale, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read carefully before bidding.
Registration
- Registration is completed the day of the sale only. Look for the cashier (always dressed in pink).
- You must provide your name, address, and phone number to receive a bid card.
- A valid driver’s license is required. Tax-exempt buyers must present a valid exemption certificate or tax number.
- Your bid card is registered to you personally. Do not allow others to bid on your card.
All Sales Are Final — As-Is, Where-Is
- All items are sold as-is, where-is with no warranties or guarantees expressed or implied.
- No refunds will be issued after purchase under any circumstances.
- Buyers are responsible for inspecting items prior to bidding. Preview is held the Friday before the auction from 12:00–5:00 PM.
- If an item is known not to be in working order, it will be announced before the sale. Auction-day announcements are final and supersede any prior descriptions.
Bidding
- A bid is a legal contract to purchase. Once accepted by the auctioneer, a bid cannot be retracted.
- Boots N Lace Auctioneering reserves the right to reject any bid or remove any person from the sale at our discretion.
- The auctioneer’s decision on all bidding disputes is final.
- Hold your bid number where the auctioneer can see it clearly.
Payment
- Accepted forms of payment: cash, personal check, and credit/debit card.
- A 3% processing fee applies to all credit and debit card transactions.
- There is no buyer’s premium.
- Payment is due in full when you are done purchasing. See the cashier before leaving.
- Sales tax applies to all items except titled items and farm equipment.
- For titled items or vehicles paid by check, the item will be held until the check clears before possession is transferred.
- Failure to pay for purchased items may result in collection action. We will contact non-paying bidders to collect payment or reclaim the item.
Pickup & Removal
- All items must be removed the day of the sale unless prior arrangements have been made with Boots N Lace Auctioneering.
- Buyers are responsible for providing their own labor and equipment for loading and removal of purchases.
- Boots N Lace staff may be available to assist with loading. If so, tipping is appreciated.
- A third party may pick up items on your behalf only if you notify us in advance.
- Items not picked up in a timely manner remain the responsibility of the winning bidder.
Firearms
- All firearm purchases are subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- All buyers of firearms must complete a background check as required by law.
- Firearms must be transferred through and picked up from our licensed FFL dealer. They cannot be taken possession of on auction day.
- Firearms cannot be picked up by a third party under any circumstances.
- Antique firearms may be subject to different regulations. Ask prior to bidding if you have questions.
General
- Boots N Lace Auctioneering is not responsible for accidents, injuries, or loss of property on auction premises.
- Attendees participate at their own risk. Please be aware of your surroundings.
- These terms may be updated at any time. The terms in effect on auction day govern each sale.
